Supreme Buses, which ply the roads connecting Lucena City in Quezon and Batangas City, is now up for a competition. It caught me by surprise too, seeing a P&O Transportation Bus in Candelaria Sambat bound for Batangas City as I have never thought that any bus line would come and share that travel route. One thing that could possibly come out of this budding rivalry is the eventual upgrade of the buses of Supreme and/or additional buses on the part of P&O. As for the passengers, there would be more buses for their convenience on those parts. Cheers!
P&O Transport serves Batangas City from Tagkawayan and Guinayangan long time ago.

DeleteIt was late 90's or early 2000's when Barney Auto Lines started its service between Tagkawayan in province of Quezon and Batangas City. Before Barney made its first shut down, Barney's former subsidiary P&O Transportation took the Tagkawayan-Batangas City route. The original Batangas City terminal of P&O was located near Batangas City capitol. Due to the opening of Batangas City Grand Terminal, P&O was relocated at Batangas City Grand Terminal.
ReplyDeleteThis bus route is a good benefits for people in Batangas City and nearby towns who want to travel to Pagbilao, Atimonan, Plaridel, Gumaca, Lopez, Calauag, Guinayangan, and Tagkawayan in Quezon province and Sta. Elena in Camarines Norte; and good benefits for people in towns and cities from Tagkawayan to Pagbilao who wants to travel to San Juan, Rosario, Ibaan, and Batangas City in Batangas province.
